Hiking the Arizona Trail

Details

The Arizona Trail runs 800 miles from Mexico to Utah, highlighting some of the most beautiful natural areas in the Grand Canyon State. This presentation is a panel discussion about the trail that will cover the experiences of participants who have hiked the entire trail, share details on how to day hike across short sections of the AZT, provide an overview on what the Arizona Trail is, and discuss the science behind a connection with nature. There will also be a question and answer portion of the event so you can get your Arizona Trail questions answered by experts on the trail.

The panel discussion is sponsored by the Arizona Trail Association and Just Roughin' It and includes members of both organizations in the panel as well as Andrew Lenartz, author of the book South Mountain Park and Preserve.

This workshop is part of Gateway Community College's 40th Street Lecture Series and is courtesy of GateWay's Outdoor Adventure Club.

The location of the event is:

Gateway Community College
108 N. 40th St
Phoenix, AZ 85034
IE Building, Copper Room

This is a free seminar and open to the public.
