The last Saturday in every month is a free drop-in "open mic" (there is no microphone) event where you can bring something you've done and read it aloud. Attendees can then give feedback if they choose. The session takes place in one of the community rooms in the basement.

The founder of Halton Writers' Workshop leads the session so this is a perfect opportunity to speak with him if you are interested in joining that for more peer feedback opportunities.
*** Update: the last one had over 20 people in attendance, so I think this time it will be a "first come, first served" or sign the list for your place kind of thing as there simply isn't enough time for that many people
