Just Between Friends

Welcome to Just Between Friends! Our group is about building friendships and connections, which is part of the reason we keep our group on the smaller side and want to meet you first (if we haven't already) before accepting your request to join. Unfortunately, a couple of us in this group have met people in Meetup who have engaged in stalker-like behavior (which has included creating multiple accounts with different names), so, we hope you will understand the need to keep our group a safe community.

Now, what are we about? We are more of a quiet group in that we aren't the kind of group that will be hosting a bunch of meetups to drink and party hard, so, if you are looking for that kind of group, then, we are not the group for you. A lot of our meetups occur in Butler County, OH, but, we do branch out. We have regular meetups to play music trivia, watch movies, and chat about true crime podcasts (that last one is a library event - we love our libraries!). Yearly, we make reservations at a restaurant for Thanksgiving; have a Cat VideoFest meetup; have a meal and see a movie on Christmas Day; and have a New Years Eve Movie Marathon at a local theater. Our most active members are mostly females in their 50s and 60s, but, we welcome people that can become a positive member of our community. We won't force you to change your profile picture nor will we require you to give us our phone number or any other private information when you join, as we value your individuality and your privacy. The nice thing about having a smaller group is that people get to know one another. If you don't have your picture in your profile, it doesn't matter, because we'll get used to seeing your face in person and will know who you are. The downside is that if you are looking to meet new people at most of the meetups you attend, you won't have that here. This group is about establishing familiarity and comfort within Meetup. If you become an active member, you will know what to expect when you attend our meetups.
