Not So Urban Athletics: Catamount Ziplining Tour

Is your personal anthem that century old tune, The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze? If you have the faintest idea to what I'm referring then this might be the meetup for you. We're going to spend the day at the Catamount Ziplining experience, the longest zipline in the U.S.

If you don't know, now you know!

The Catamount zipline tour is a a two-hour experience that includes three dual zipline spans. After practicing on the demonstration span in the base area, we will ride the Ridge Quad chairlift or ATVs up to the summit, arriving just steps away from the 1,000-foot Ridge span. Here we'll get the feel of riding down this gradual zipline before we move on to the thrilling, uninterrupted 1,000-drop of the CataMonster span. The CataMonster is 5,523 feet long, the longest zipline in the United States.

After our adventure we'll be stopping at a local eatery to fill our bellies with food and libations!

What does it cost and how to pay?

Admission is $109 per person for a two hour ziplining experience. To buy your ticket, click HERE.

Choose the 11:00AM session; don't wait as there are limited spots available. If it sells out, the next tour starts 60 minutes later and you won't be zipping with the group.

Important stuff!

• No experience is necessary but the maximum participant weight is 260 pounds. You will be weighed before you get on the zips.
• Dress for the weather and activity! Clothing should be well-fitted and there should be nothing hanging loose that may get tangled in cable. Long hair and jewelry should be secured. Closed toed shoes (sneakers or hiking shoes) are mandatory.

Please post if you are driving and can pick up passengers (how many and from where), If you need a ride, please be proactive and contact a driver directly. Passengers, as a courtesy you should chip in for gas, tolls, and coffee for the driver.
