Not So Urban Athletics: Paddling the Delaware River
Details
Ready to trade your screen time for stream time?
Join us for a leisurely 6 mile paddle down the Delaware River, where we'll enjoy scenic views, fresh air, questionable navigation decisions, and at least one person asking, "Wait, are we supposed to be going this way?"
No kayaking experience? Perfect. As long as you can sit, paddle, and resist the urge to challenge geese to a staring contest, you'll fit right in.
What to expect:
- Beautiful river scenery
- Mild exercise disguised as fun
- Opportunities to make new friends
- A very high likelihood of getting a little wet
- Stories you'll exaggerate later
What to bring:
- Water, sunscreen, a packed lunch, 2-3 liters of water, and a swimsuit
- A change of clothes if you plan on testing the kayak's "stability claims"
Whether you're an experienced paddler or someone who thinks a kayak is just a very determined bathtub, come join us for a fun day on the water.
Other important stuff:
- Cost starts at $56 for a single person kayak and varies depending on boat type and number of people
- Make your reservation directly with the outfitter HERE. Choose the 11:00AM "6 Mile River Trip - Smithfield Beach to Kittatinny Point" trip
