Join us for the JXN Miss Halving Party!
This event is for you IF:
- You're interested in learning more about Bitcoin and want a fun event for you/your family
- You don't care anything about Bitcoin but want a fun event for you/your family
When: Saturday, April 20th from 12-4pm
Where: The Terrace at the Belhaven Town Center
Activities:
- Live music by John Hart (2-4pm)
- Minnesota Lucy's food truck
- Viewings of the Tuttle Twins episode, "Bitcoin and the Beast"
- Bitcoin giveaway (1 million sats AKA 0.01 Bitcoin AKA ~$7,000)*
- Resource table where you can ask questions about Bitcoin
A little bit about "The Halving":
- It takes place about every 4 years (every 210,000 blocks)
- It's called a halving because the amount of new bitcoins being created is cut in half (this time, from 900 new bitcoins per day to 450)
- Why celebrate? First, it's an excuse to throw a party! Second, every time a halving happens, it shows how consistent and predictable Bitcoin is, as opposed to a financial system that central bankers try to control by a combination of inflation, interest rates, and other variables that they can't predict or fully understand!
Join us, bring your family, enjoy the music and food, and leave with some bitcoin and a little better understanding of how Bitcoin, as honest money, can contribute to a better, healthier, fairer, and freer world!
