What we’re about
This is a group for dogs and their people who live in or near the Fort Collins and Loveland areas who love to hike, socialize and learn about animal advocacy. We will be posting announcements related to health & wellness topics as well as group dog hikes in the area. Most hikes will be led by a volunteer Trail Guide from one of our sponsors. Members may also lead hikes once approved by organizers. Dogs and their people must be non-aggressive, healthy and able to hike 1-4 miles. Our goal is to explore hiking trails of various length and difficulty in the foothills, natural areas and city trails 1-2x a month. Hikes are limited to 12-14 people per hike. We need a minimum of 5 registered hikers to go on a hike. Please be courteous and notify us within 24-48 hours if you need to cancel. We are looking forward to meeting new furry friends and their parents!
What to bring: For all hikes/walks, please read the description of the hike and wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the terrain and weather. Bring plenty of water for you and your pups and also poop bags. All dogs must be kept on leash for the duration of the hikes. We require lead of no more than 6 feet for safety and best control of dog (NO FLEXI leads please!!) - especially since we will be traveling in a pack, and we never know what kind of wildlife or other folks we might encounter!
You must read and agree with Participation Rules & Guidelines prior to attending your first hike. You will find the guidelines under the "More" tab, then scroll to "Files".
