We all have bad habits. We tend to identify with our habits and as a result can easily feel stuck and unable to change.
Buddha’s teachings teach us how we can relate to ourselves in a far more positive way. According to Buddha, we all have extraordinary potential. We have Buddha nature, a natural capacity to fulfill our deepest wishes for lasting happiness., expansive love, liberating wisdom, as well as the ability and skill to bring real benefit to others and our world.
To actualize this potential and accomplish these results, Buddha presented us with a clear and structured spiritual path that we can easily integrate with our modern lives, even in the hectic environment of modern society.
While choosing to travel the spiritual path (an inner path) is a wonderful journey that takes us as it is said from ‘joy to joy’, or inner achievements that bring rise to increasing joy and peace of mind, it is also a profoundly challenging one at times.
There is no question we will encounter many obstacles, in particular inner obstacles. We will come up against our entrenched beliefs in our shortcomings and inadequacies, and our limited view of what we believe is actually possible.
Sometimes to even get started on a spiritual path, to begin to relate to our pure potential we need to recognize, reduce and get to know what exactly are these inner obstacles and then apply the method practice to begin the process of ridding ourselves of them so we can naturally progress beyond them.
In this talk will learn how to recognize our potential and our ability to overcome our habits. In doing so we can develop a special spiritual confidence that empowers us to become the person we really want to be.
In this course, Kelsang Kalden will explain how we can begin to connect to the underlying happiness and confidence that is our actual nature. By recognizing and unlocking this potential, we can begin to let go of our mistaken insecurity and eventually be free of it altogether.
