Welcome to KMC Bristol, a special place for finding peace, friendship, spiritual growth and harmony. The Centre is located on Gloucester Road in Bishopston, one of the busiest and most vibrant districts in Bristol, and offers a sense of sanctuary for all.
We offer a range of introductory meditation classes, drop in lunchtime classes, day courses, in-depth study programs and focused retreats. Our courses are open to everyone, whether you want to learn simple meditation techniques, find out about Buddhism or deepen your current spiritual experience. We also run meditation classes in various different locations in the surrounding area.
The focus of all our classes is how to use meditation to solve our daily problems, this is modern Buddhism.
The centre is also home to the World Peace Cafe, relaxing gardens and a small shop.

Resident Teacher, Gen Lamchen will give the blessing empowerment of the Great Mother Prajnaparamita, a special transmission of inspiration and wisdom insight from this enlightened spiritual guide.
Through developing our wisdom we can dismantle our problems and approach them in ways that move us forwards, with flexibility and fresh perspective.
What is an empowerment?
An empowerment is a blissful, guided meditation that establishes a strong connection with a Buddha.
Through this connection we receive their enlightened wisdom and begin to actualise our own limitless potential to draw closer to the permanent happiness of enlightenment.
Who is Buddha Prajnaparamita - The Great Mother?
Buddha Prajnaparamita is a manifestation of the Perfection of Wisdom. The word “prajna” means wisdom and “paramita” means perfection. She is called “The Great Mother” because all Buddhas are born from this wisdom which is associated with deep compassion for all living beings.
