Refuge Retreat

Details
With Resident Teacher Sarah Frew
During this annual retreat, we will use profound contemplations to develop the powerful mind of refuge. Refuge is the foundation of our spiritual life - all practices and meditations are included within it.
Our potential for permanent happiness and freedom can be accomplished by sincerely relying upon the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. ‘Dharma’ is the inner realization of Buddha’s teachings that directly protects our mind from suffering. Buddha is like the doctor who gives us the medicine of Dharma as well as powerful blessings to help transform our mind. The Sangha, spiritual practitioners, are like nurses who provide all the conditions we need for our healing.
With a strong foundation of refuge, we can gradually build a stable experience of peace, joy and freedom within our own heart, giving us the confidence and strength to make authentic spiritual progress that we can then share with others. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.
