If our Dharma understanding remains only intellectual, it will have no power to solve our daily problems of uncontrolled desire, anger, ignorance and other delusions. Understanding this we should apply great effort to sincerely practice in training in contemplation and training in meditation. In this retreat, we will put the advice from our Spiritual Guide’s heart into practice by training in meditation on the stages of the path to enlightenment, known as “Kadam Lamrim.”

Lamrim is a special set of instructions that includes all the essential teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni. It takes us step-by-step through carefully crafted meditations that help us develop the qualities in our mind that lead to our happiness and reduce our painful thoughts and feelings.

Sessions will include a short teaching, Prayers for Meditation and silent time to meditate on a particular Lamrim meditation object from the book Mirror of Dharma with Additions by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Everyone is welcome to attend and no experience is necessary. You can join for a single session, one day or the entire retreat!
