Details
We are delighted that Eneco Energy Trade will host the next Kafka meetup. With two topics lined up already, this promises to be an interesting evening for all kafkaians. Also, because no other than Jay Kreps (CEO of Confluent, co-creator of Apache Kafka) will be there with us.
Agenda (preliminary):
17:30 - 18:00: Food & drinks
18:00 - 18:05: Introduction
18:05 - 20:30: Talks
20:30 - 21:00: Drinks
Talks:
- Jay Kreps (Confluent): Distributed stream processing with Apache Kafka. A modern business operates 24/7 and generates data continuously. Shouldn’t we process it continuously too?
- Andrew Stevenson (Datamountaineer): Kafka Connect, a scalable distribution service for simplifying the the loading of data to Kafka and unloading of data to datastores.
- Roel Reijerse (Eneco Energy Trade): automated repeatable deployments of Kafka stream topologies on Kubernetes
How to get there:
Train: station "Rotterdam Alexander" is right around the corner. Information on parking possibilities will be added soon.
