日本語と英語でWordCamp Asia 2024振り返り / Recap of WordCamp Asia 2024 (English & Japanese)

久しぶりの 男木島 WordPress Meetupの開催です。※ English below

今回は 2024年3月7日から9日まで台湾・台北にて開催された WordCamp Asia 2024 について、感想など振り返りします。
日本語と英語どちらも話す形式で開催します。特に通訳などはありませんが、どんな風にできるか試してみたいと思っています。
日本語しか話せない方でもどうぞ気楽にご参加ください。（Felo翻訳というアプリで翻訳を出す予定です）

男木島に住む Kira Schroder と 額賀順子 が進行します。
Kiraと額賀は昨年からWordCamp Europe 2023, WordCamp US 2023, WordCamp Kansai 2024 にも参加しているので、Asiaだけではなく興味があればお話しできることがあるかもしれません。

WordPressを使われている方、WordPressの最新情報をキャッチアップしたい方、WordPressを使い始めようとしている方など、WordPressに興味のある皆さま歓迎です。

WordPress MeetupはWordPress が好き。WordPress のことを知りたいなど WordPress に関わっている・興味のある方なら誰でも参加できる地域コミュニティです。

島外からいらっしゃる場合は高松発10:00発のめおんに乗って男木島にいらして、男木島13:00発で帰ることができます。

・WordPress って何？
ブログを作ったりWebサイトを作ったりできるオープンソースのCMS（コンテンツマネージメントシステム）です。 全世界のウェブサイトの42％が WordPress で作られています。

・アクセス
男木島へは高松駅から徒歩5分のところにある高松港から出ている、雌雄島海運のフェリー「めおん」に乗船してアクセスします。所要時間40分の海の旅！
フェリーの出発時間は、
高松港発男木島行き: 8:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:10 男木港発高松港行き: 7:00, 9:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 のみですので、ご注意ください。

高松港（高松駅）までのアクセスは、
新幹線で岡山まで、岡山からマリンライナーで高松 車ですと淡路島経由で大阪からなど 飛行機では高松空港へ 高松空港から高松港へは、バスを使って45分ほどかかります。

It's been a while since we’ve had an Ogijima WordPress Meetup!

We’ll review and discuss WordCamp Asia 2024, which was held in Taipei, Taiwan from March 7 to 9, 2024.

This time the meetup will be in both English and Japanese.

There will be no interpreter, but we’d like to give it a try! During the meetup, an app called Felo Translate will be used for real-time translation.

Kira Schroder and Junko Nukaga, who live in Ogijima, will be facilitating.

During the past year, Kira and Junko attended WordCamp Europe 2023, WordCamp US 2023, and WordCamp Kansai 2024, and are happy to discuss them too, if you are interested in more than just WordCamp Asia.

We welcome everyone who is interested in WordPress, including those who are using WordPress, want to catch up with the latest information about WordPress, or want to use WordPress for the first time.

WordPress Meetups are a local community for anyone who is interested in WordPress.

If you come from outside of the island, you can take the 10:00 Meon from Takamatsu to Ogijima and return on the 13:00 ferry from Ogijima.

- What is WordPress?
It is an open source CMS (Content Management System) that allows you to create blogs and websites. 42% of all websites in the world are made using WordPress.

- Access
To get to Ogijima, you can take Meon, a ferry operated by Hyo-Oshima Shipping Company. It leaves from Takamatsu Port, a 5-minute walk from Takamatsu Station. The trip by sea takes 40 minutes each direction.

Please note the ferry departure times:
Takamatsu Port to Ogijima: 8:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:10
Ogijima to Takamatsu Port: 7:00, 9:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 (last ferry back to Takamatsu)

How to get to Takamatsu Port (Takamatsu Station)?
By Shinkansen bullet train to Okayama, Marine Liner from Okayama to Takamatsu.

By car from Osaka via Awaji Island.

By plane to Takamatsu Airport, then limousine bus from Takamatsu Airport to Takamatsu Port (~45 minutes).
