Intent Based Leadership for the VUCA age we live in - Bazil Arden
Details
About the Session:
Leadership looks very different in a workplace that is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) i.e. an Agile workplace.
IBL provides a simple framework and practical techniques for leaders at all levels.
Whether you’re an experienced leader looking for new insights and techniques or a new leader who might be experiencing a little imposter syndrome, this session will provide you with plenty to reflect on and explore.
The six IBL principles resonate strongly with the Agile values and framework. The principles are brought to life by 25+ techniques, some of which we will explore at the session.
- Don't be good, get better
- Leaders make it safe, not add stress
- Push authority to information, not information to authority
- Tune control to competence and clarity
- Leaders fix the environment, not the people
- Act your way to new thinking, not think your way to new action
IBL has evolved out of the books 'Turn The Ship Around’ and ‘Leadership is Language', by David Marquet.
About the Speaker:
Bazil is an IBL Pioneer and has delivered and coached IBL at a number of organisations. After 16 years working with organisations trying to evolve Agile ways of working, he has experienced how leadership is at the heart of so many of the challenges and failures to achieve the benefits of Agile.
