What we're about
Zen is not a path of devotion, nor opposed to any faith: Just watching the breath and being aware of being aware. Our initial goal is to learn to live in the moment by experiencing a deepening of our concentration over time through regular meditation practice. Sitting in community vastly reinforces practice.
You can virtually, from home, meet other people who enjoy doing Zen meditation in community. Weekly sits are led by me on Zoom from 7 pm until about 8:00 pm on Tuesdays. You are encouraged to join every week or just join as you can. The extent of commitment is personal. You only need to wear loose, comfortable clothing and find a thick couch cushion or one or two pillows. You will be shown how to sit in good posture and how to follow the breath.
