◆Byodo-in Temple
Byodo-in Temple, located in Uji City, is particularly famous for its "Phoenix Hall (Hou-ou-do)." It was founded in 1052 by Fujiwara no Yorimichi. Aiming to recreate the Pure Land of Amida Buddha on this earth, a beautiful statue of Amida Buddha is enshrined here. The statue of "Phoenix" is displayed on the roof of the hall, and its appearance looks as if a bird has spread its wings, which is why it came to be called "Phoenix Hall."

◆Uji Shrine
Uji Shrine is a historic shrine located in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, nestled along the banks of the Uji River. Its main deity is Uji no Wakiiratsuko, who is particularly revered as the god of learning and wisdom. Nearby, you'll find Ujigami Shrine, and it's believed that they were originally a single shrine.

◆Ujigami Shrine
Ujigami Shrine, also in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, is renowned for possessing the oldest existing shrine architecture in Japan. In 1994, it was registered as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Cultural Properties of Ancient Kyoto." It's said that during the Heian period, it split into "Upper Shrine (Ujigami Shrine)" and "Lower Shrine (Uji Shrine)." Even today, the two shrines are located in close proximity, and both enshrine Uji no Wakiiratsuko.

Kyoto Ujicha-zuna is a facility located within the "Tea and Uji Town History Park" in Uji, Kyoto. Here, you can enjoy the long and distinguished traditions, practices, and history of Uji tea in various forms.

◆平等院
平等院は、京都府宇治市にある平安時代創建の寺院で、特に「鳳凰堂（ほうおうどう）」が有名です。平安時代の1052年に関白・藤原頼通によって創建されました。平等院の中心となる「鳳凰堂」は1053年に建立されました。 極楽浄土をこの世に再現することを目指し、美しい阿弥陀如来像が安置されています。堂の屋根には「鳳凰」の像が飾られており、その姿がまるで鳥が羽を広げたように見えることから「鳳凰堂」と呼ばれるようになりました。

◆宇治神社
宇治神社は、京都府宇治市にある歴史の古い神社で、宇治川のほとりに鎮座しています。主祭神は菟道稚郎子（うじのわきいらつこ）で、特に学問や知恵の神として信仰されています。近くには「宇治上神社」があり、もともとは一つの神社だったともいわれています。

◆宇治上神社
宇治上神社は、京都府宇治市にある神社で、日本最古の神社建築を持つことで有名です。1994年には、**世界遺産「古都京都の文化財」**の一部として登録されました。平安時代に、「上社（宇治上神社）」と「下社（宇治神社）」に分かれたとされます。現在も、2社はすぐ近くにあり、どちらも菟道稚郎子を祀っています。

京都の宇治にある「お茶と宇治のまち歴史公園 」にある施設。宇治茶が持つ長く由緒ある伝統や作法、そして宇治で繰り広げられてきた歴史を様々な形で楽しむことができる。
