🎨Van Gogh’s Masterpiece is in Kobe! Art & Café Meetup ☕

Did you know that Van Gogh’s iconic masterpiece, "Café Terrace at Night," is currently on display in Kobe?
We’ve all seen those beautiful "blue" and "yellow" hues in textbooks and on postcards. This is a rare opportunity to see the original masterpiece right here in Japan! In addition to Van Gogh, the exhibition features works by Impressionist masters like Monet and Renoir. It’s going to be a truly inspiring experience.
After soaking in the art, let’s head to a nearby café to chat and share our thoughts!

[Schedule]

• 1:00 PM: Meet at JR Motomachi Station, East Exit (near "Motomachi-domari")
• 1:30 PM: Enter the Van Gogh Exhibition at Kobe City Museum
• 3:00 PM: Leave the museum
• 3:30 PM: Coffee and chat at a nearby café
• 4:30 PM: Return to Motomachi Station

(Special Exhibition for the 30th Anniversary of the Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake & 15th Anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake)
Highlights: Approximately 65 masterpieces from the Kröller-Müller Museum in the Netherlands, ranging from Van Gogh’s early years to his Arles period, alongside other Impressionist works.

[About Vincent van Gogh]
Born in a small village in the southern Netherlands, Van Gogh failed as both an art dealer and a preacher. At age 27, he decided his only path was art. Supported by his brother Theo, he spent his years refining his craft and living among peasants and miners, capturing human suffering and his deep love for nature. This exhibition focuses on the first half of his career—his "origins." You can trace his journey from his early days in the Netherlands to his awakening to color in Paris, and finally to Arles, where he sought light and painted "Café Terrace at Night."

ゴッホの名作**《夜のカフェテラス》**が今、神戸に来ているのを皆さんはご存じですか？
教科書やポストカードで誰もが見たことのある、あの美しい「青」と「黄色」のテラス。
今回の展示は、その傑作が来日している貴重な機会なんです！
ゴッホだけでなく、モネやルノワールなど印象派の作品も見られるそうなので、見応えもばっちり。
名画を堪能した後は、カフェに行って皆でおしゃべりしましょう♪

ここがすごい！： オランダのクレラー＝ミュラー美術館から、ゴッホ初期〜アルル時代の傑作や印象派作品など約65点が集結しています。

「ゴッホとは」
オランダ南部の小さな村で生まれたファン・ゴッホ。画商の仕事もキリスト教の伝道師の仕事もうまくいかず、「絵の道しかない」と決心したのは27歳。弟テオの援助を受けながら、何を描くかを考え抜き、絵の基礎を築いていきました。彼は農民や炭坑夫と暮らしをともにし、人間の苦悩に寄り添いながら、何よりも自然を愛しました。 展覧会第1期で紹介する画業の前半期は、ファン・ゴッホとその作品を知る上で欠かせない原点です。1期となる「大ゴッホ展　夜のカフェテラス」では、初期オランダ時代からフランス・パリで色彩に目覚め、さらなる光を求めてアルルに向かい、《夜のカフェテラス》を描くに至るまでをさまざまな作品を通して紹介します。
