Kansai Special Education Support Group 関西特別支援教育グループ

PLEASE NOTE:  I do not want to waste anyone's time including my own, so I am being very forthright in stating my purpose of starting this group in clear terms.  I would only like people who are really serious about wanting to discuss, learn, know more and share information and knowledge about Special Education in Kansai (and Japan).  The discussions will be mainly revolve around the problems, education, therapy, school systems, training and facilities with regards to children (and adults) with developmenet disorders and learning difficulties such as Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD) Pervasive Development Disorders (PDD), ADD, ADHD, Aspergers Syndrome, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, speech problems, behavioural problems, etc.  I hope that parents with special education needs children and teachers who may or may not notice these problems with the children they teach at schools and those who are or would like to work in this field as caretakers, teachers, guradians, etc. would join this group and attend our meetings.
This meeting will be BILINGUAL i.e. both English and Japanese will be used so that both Japanese who don't speak/understand English and foreigners who don't speak/understand Japanese can attend.  Meetings are held once a month on a Sunday from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, and a token fee of ￥500 will be charged per person (to cover costs of the place, electricity, etc, and complimentary tea and snacks will be served).
