Join Kansai Comedy for a weekly night of live English stand-up comedy in the heart of Kyoto.

Every Saturday, we bring together local favorites, international comedians, first-time performers, and visiting headliners for a show that’s never the same twice.

Hosted by American comedian Ethan Tam and Australian comedian Dylan Lamb, our shows are all about fresh material, fearless comedy, and creating a welcoming space for everyone—whether you’ve lived in Japan for years or just arrived yesterday.

Our comedians come from all over the world, including Australia, Brazil, the United States, Venezuela, Taiwan, Japan, the UK, and many more, each bringing their own unique perspective on life, culture, travel, and the strange experience of living abroad.
We also regularly feature special performances, including English Rakugo, guest comedians touring Japan, and surprise visiting headliners.

Our Kyoto shows operate on a Pay What You Want basis.
Entry is free, and at the end of the show we simply ask you to donate whatever you think the experience was worth.
