We ARE USING the Dr. Betty Edwards workbook. "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workbook," which can be found on Amazon and possibly at the public library. We will also be critiquing each other's work. I highly recommend using Video on your camera phone to do self talk and practice talking about your work and the lessons--which do not have to be done in any specific order. I would also recommend using landscape drawings, Ernst Wattson's series in landscape drawings. He was a New York artist who taught at a private New York fine arts school. Although the works are from the late 1950s and early 1960s of the New England area he offers excellent ideas for artists who are traveling by car. He provides awesome insight into career development. I have found numerous failures in trying to schedule and connect with a group. I do not call myself a teacher, but a guide. I am hoping to gain a guide's assistant to help me get a group formed that regularly--weekly meets. Please explore.
