Come join the first Magento community event in the Kansas City area! This is for both merchants and developers and is a chance for people to meet fellow community members. We will start around 6:30pm. This meetup will be a workshop-style format with a talk and Q/A after.

Out of the box, Magento 1 and 2 are search-engine friendly. However, there are some pitfalls that can make a wonderful platform difficult for Google to browse. If search engines can't traverse your website, customers will not be able to find you, and you will not enjoy as many sales.

Joseph Maxwell will be drawing from his 7 years of Magento development and optimization experience to share how you can optimize your store to the maximum.

You will be surprised as to how many things affect your rankings: from the more technical aspects of site speed, rich snippets, and AMP to the often overlooked areas of meta tags and on-page optimization.
