Field Trip: Stargazing at Powell Observatory

Let's head to Powell Observatory and look at the night sky! Bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the show! This event may get canceled if the skies are overcast, so keep an eye on the weather.

Approximate Schedule

• 8:30pm: "They Only Come out at Night: A Tour of Tonight's Sky" presentation by the Astronomical Society of Kansas City (ASKC)
• 9pm: Watch the stars come out and explore Powell
• 10pm: Night officially begins and hopefully we'll see meteors

Cost: $10 donation to ASKC

There will be many telescopes available for you to look through including the giant 30" telescope! Feel free to bring your own binoculars or telescope too if you have them.
