About us

Kansas City Transhumanism is a community for people interested in exploring how science and technology can expand human capabilities, improve quality of life, and shape the future of humanity.

Our discussions may include topics such as artificial intelligence, longevity and life extension, biotechnology, brain-computer interfaces, neurotechnology, whole brain emulation and substrate-independent minds, robotics, emerging technologies, space exploration, and the philosophical and ethical questions surrounding human enhancement.

The group is open to everyone—from researchers, technologists, entrepreneurs, students, and futurists to anyone who is simply curious about transhumanism and the future. No technical background is required.

Meetups may include informal discussions, presentations, book or article discussions, guest speakers, networking, and conversations about developments in science and technology.

Our goal is to build an active transhumanist community in the Kansas City area where people can exchange ideas, learn from one another, collaborate on projects, and thoughtfully discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies.
