Huinga Pānui - Māori Bookclub

Details
Huinga Pānui is held every Monday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the Auckland Central Library.
The first hour, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm is a relaxed session of kōrero in te reo Māori only. This is a chance to kōrero māori with other speakers about anything you want in a relaxed, friendly environment. From beginners to fluent, come along and kōrero.
The second hour, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm is a reading and pronunciation practice session. We start with a karakia, pēpeha practice and then on to reading te reo Māori from a variety of sources. Each person takes a turn reading a sentence or two in te reo Māori, and then discussing what they think it means with the group. This continues around the group until the time runs our or we finish the reading. The session closes with another karakia. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided. This is a great opportunity to practice reading and pronunciation without the pressure of immersive kōrero.
Both sessions are held on level 1 in the library in the Akozone room.
You're welcome to come to either one or both of these sessions as you want. This event is organised by Auckland Central Library and you can contact them directly for more information.
Note that I'm not the organizer, I'm publicising the event held by the library, run by Tessa at the library.
