David Deutsch on Karl Popper, Critical Rationalism and current world problems

Steven Pinker described David Deutsch as the current greatest mind on the planet ! Deutsch is one of quantum computing's foundational figures, is a winner of multiple physics prizes, an author of two great books and a fantastic and articulate advocate of Karl Popper's Critical Rationalist philosophy. (See Deutsch's TED talks to get some idea of his wonderful wide-ranging philosophy - the TED CEO even credits Deutsch's ideas as being his inspiration to lead TED !) This is an opportunity to see and discuss some of Deutsch's views on Popper, philosophy and current world problems. As always, some 'plain English' material will be provided to stimulate discussion on Popper and Deutsch's critical rationalist philosophy - with some real-world issues thrown in to assist discussion. And as per each Meetup, will head to the Civic Social Club after the meet for a coffee/drink and continued discussion. Cheers, Todd
