Castle and rock hike: Dahn, Pfalz - 11 km, 410 hm

It looks like the rain will have mostly stopped by Saturday. Let's go to Dahn again to see those great rock structures and two castles.

This hike is medium difficulty with 10.7 km and 412 hm ascent. There's an option to return after around 5 km through the town (it's actually a town though it may look like a village).

Getting there:

• Take the RB train at 9:14, track 101.
• Arrival time in Dahn Süd is 10:55.
• If you live in Palatinate or around Heidelberg, you can join us in Landau. (That's what I'm going to do.)
• If you come by car you can join us at Dahn Süd train station or at the start point of the hike (see link in comments).
• We can take a direct train back at 6pm, arriving in Karlsruhe at 7:45pm.

What to bring:

• lots of water
• snacks/ food for lunch time
• weather appropriate clothing. Better prepare at least for light rain.
