Castle hike: Ebersteinburg, Battert rocks, Schloss Hohenbaden - 9.4 km, 260 hm

Join us for a hike to see two castles and enjoy amazing views over Baden Baden. We're going to start on a high point in the hills, which makes this hike relatively easy.

Hike details and sights:

• 9.4 km
• 260 m ascent, 490 m descent
• Wolfsschlucht
• Lukas-Hütte with views on Murg valley
• Eberstein castle: There's a cafe, so we can take a drinks and bathroom break.
• Battert rocks with amazing views on Baden Baden
• Altes Schloss Hohenbaden with more viewpoints
• Finally, we're going to Baden Baden, where we can have a walk around the city and maybe take time for another drink or food.

Getting there:

• Take RE 2 from Karlsruhe Hbf to Bühl, departure 11:07, platform 11.
• We're changing to a bus in Bühl (X44 to Bad Herrenalb), which will take us to Ebersteinburg Wolfsschlucht - arrival time 12:20.
• This hike is not easily suitable for people coming by car. You can join us in Ebersteinburg, but you'll have to take a bus back up from Baden Baden after the hike.

What to bring:

• weather-appropriate clothing
