Short National Park hike: Wilderness trail, 4 km, 50 hm

There's a wilderness trail in Schwarzwald Nationalpark. It's short but seems to come with small challenges like climing over or under fallen trees, ladders etc. There's also an eagle nest built into a tree - we can have our lunch break there.

The hike apparently is not quite as easy as the distance and ascent might suggest. We can usually cover this kind of distance in one hour, but the national park flyer says it takes 3 hours. Let's just see how it goes. If we want we can continue on Lynx trail, which is nearby and partly overlapping with our trail.

Getting there:

• Take RE2 (direction Konstanz), departing 12:07 at platform 10, Karlsruhe Hbf,
• then change to Bus X 45 in Baden Baden.
• We're arriving in Baden-Baden Bühlerhöhe Plättig, Bühlertal at 13:16.
• Coming by car? Meet us at the bus stop at 13:16.

What to bring:

• water and food - There are probably no restaurants around.
• sturdy shoes or boots, weather-appropriate clothing
