Castle hike: Ebersteinburg, Battert rocks, Schloss Hohenbaden (9.4 km, 340 hm)

Join us for a hike to see two castles and enjoy amazing views over Baden Baden. We're going to start on a high point in the hills, which makes this hike relatively easy.
Hike details and sights:
- 9.4 km, 340 m ascent (plus castle stairs), 560 m descent
- Wolfsschlucht
- Lukas-Hütte with views on Murg valley
- Eberstein castle: There's a very nice cafe, so we can take a break for drinks and bathroom. They have food too, such as cakes and dhal (vegan).
- Battert rocks with amazing views on Baden Baden
- Altes Schloss Hohenbaden with more viewpoints
- Finally, we're going to Baden Baden, where we can have a walk around the city and another drink or dinner.
Getting there:
- Take RE40 from Karlsruhe Hbf to Gernsbach, departure 10:10, platform 12.
- We're changing to a bus in Gernsbach (240 to Baden Baden), which will take us to Ebersteinburg Wolfsschlucht - arrival time 11:15.
- Coming by car? You can join us in Ebersteinburg village, but you'll have to take a bus back up from Baden Baden after the hike.
What to bring:
- lots of water
- snacks for lunch time
- weather-appropriate clothing
