Welcome to the very first rehearsal of Kartoflanie, Boise's first ever Polish and Ukrainian folk dance performance group! Whether you've never danced a day in your life or just want to try something new, come see what we're all about.
Our first session will be a relaxed two-hour intro. We'll start with some ballet and yoga basics and light exercises designed to get your body and mind in the headspace of a folk dancer. Nothing too intense, just a great foundation for what's to come!
What to know before you show up:

Rehearsals are every Friday at 7:00 PM

Free parking on site
February rehearsals are FREE, and starting March, dues are $30/month to help cover hall rentalWhat to bring:
Comfortable workout clothing, no jeans please!
Ladies: hair tied back, and bring a skirt if you have one
No street shoes in the studio, ballet or jazz shoes are great, but socks work perfectly too
A water bottle!
About the group:
Kartoflanie is a performance group open to ages 16 and up, covering national and regional folk styles from both Poland and Ukraine. Classes are taught in English, no language skills required! Rehearsals are weekly, and we're building something special from the ground up together.
