Join us on October 29th at ToughTech for an evening exploring how AI and solid design shape modern software. We’ll dive into the rise of “vibe coding” - where developers guide AI with natural language - and question what this means for creativity, code quality, and the future role of developers. Then, get hands-on with Domain Driven Design (DDD): learn how to turn messy requirements into clear, reliable systems built on real domain rules.
A thought-provoking mix of future trends and timeless techniques - perfect for anyone serious about building better software.

Agenda:

  • 18:30 "What is so different about vibe coding with AI?" by Mantas Vilčinskas

"Three years after ChatGPT's launch, AI is no longer a novelty but a core component of the modern developer's toolkit. One of the most disruptive concepts to emerge is 'vibe coding,' where developers guide AI agents with natural language, allowing developers to save time and write less syntax. But what happens when we become more passive and put trust in the machine for what used to be seen as such a complicated job by the masses? This talk aims to deconstruct the financial incentives driving the proliferation of AI tools, explore the long-term effects on code quality and developer skills, and, more importantly, ask challenging sociological questions: How does this change our relationship with the art of programming? Are we building a more efficient future or becoming digital tenants in a new 'techno-feudal' system? How will developers be working, and will they be as valued, in 5 years’ time?"

  • 19:10 "Domain Driven Design in Code" by Šarūnas Kavaliauskas

“If you’re unsure what DDD really means - or how it helps you write better code - this talk is for you. Stop modeling by habit; start from domain rules to shape aggregates, boundaries, and behavior. Walk away with a hands-on, repeatable approach for turning messy requirements into crisp models and simpler, more reliable systems."
