Paddle & Hike Alligator Creek and Charlotte Harbor Environmental Preserve

Details
Launch from Allpatchee Shores Park, paddle up to the dam, paddle back down Alligator Creek, under Rt 41 and Brunt Store Rd bridges and pass, Park Hill Estates and into a lake. In the back of the lake is our entrance ( hidden )into the Charlotte Harbour Environmental Center/ Preserve. I have way pointed the landing. At this point we do a circuit hike. We will land at the Eagle Point Trail. This is a one mile circuit trail but is connected to four more circuit trails. At this point, we can decide how much hiking we wish to do. The museum is now open. It's not very big but has some neat stuff. There is an audio trail tour as well as QR codes along the trail for various species. This is a great place to learn about nature although I have not seen many animals whenever I have been there. It looks like they are redoing their butterfly enclosure. I go here for walks often. Trails are semi primitive. Bring old shoes, it could be wet or muddy in some spots although you can usually walk off to the side.
