Paddle on the Imperial River from the Dog Park in Old Bonita Springs.

Details
Let's paddle along this unique river in the heart of a city. This river is less wind effected and very scenic. I have seen manatee here in colder weather. We will go upriver until we run out of water or get tired. Up and back so turn around when your bod says enough, if you want a hard up river paddle then go for it. This river winds through Bonita Springs starting with open sky and progressing to palm and mango trees up through spreading oak to Cypress trees. Very photogenic area. We go under the smelly bat bridge. Depending on water levels there may be areas to rest and get out of the kayaks. It tends to be all steep banks with quick drop off's. You will want water, snacks, maybe sunscreen and your camera. I have never need bug juice but if you are prone to a reaction bring some. Rest Rooms up at the parking lot, block building. 8.00 am is paddle dip so plan accordingly.
