Woverton Trail ?, Snorkel, Shark teeth and shell Hunt at Gasparilla Pass

Park at the parking lot on Pier Road. Launch at the base of the bridge.
Alternate park at the public ramp on the Causeway ( Placida Park), just before toll on causeway. Will meet at the mouth of Coral Creek. We will paddle through Wolverton Trail if it is open, pass the rookery to Little Dog and out to the pass. Exact route will depend on wind, weather and tide or how fast we want to get to the beach. Bring snack, water, etc. Do some snorkeling and shelling on the Gulf beach. If Gulf too rough will snorkel the trestle and sand bar or change plans altogether. Weather dependent, will change date if necessary. Approx 5 miles round trip. Use GPS, Placida Fishing Pier or click on the map on this notice. We will have to cross Gasparilla Sound and ICW. Conditions constantly change. This may not be suitable for beginners. It depends on the weather and the tide and current. Remember, you are the only one who knows your limitations and kayak skill level.
