Paddle Hickey Creek

We will be in the water to launch at the Franklin Locks above the locks (1660 S Franklin Lock Rd, Alva, Florida) by 10 AM. Please bring your kayak wheels as it is about a 100 yard walk across grass to the launch. If you don't have wheels, you may borrow someone else's wheels This is an 8 mile paddle. The first and last mile of the paddle are on the Caloosahatchee River can be windy (please no beginners on this paddle). Hickey Creek is a beautiful paddle. We will eat our snacks and sandwiches half way through the paddle at Hickey Creek Mitigation Park.
