Anne has a campsite at Oleno State park from Sat May 5th-6th-7th Loop DOG #35 for those who want to camp. Lots of available spaces right now. Attendees can post in comments when they plan to arrive and we can go to dinner or have a happy hour Saturday night.

SUNDAY night POTLUCK at campground-please bring items to share! please post In comments what I plan to bring-the campsites have electricity and water. Also when paddling tge Ichnetucknee you cannot use disposable containers for food and water.
Bring hard containers fir your items.

-----Paddlers must be experienced since Sante Fe can be tricky----

May kayaking-Sante Fe River on Sunday May 5th with self shuttle and Ichnetuckenee River on Monday May 6th - self shuttle.

SUNDAY
Meet at boat ramp at 8:30 AM-Boat ramp on hwy just north of Sante Fe river on right if coming from High Springs.

SELF SHUTTLE TO TAKE OUT
The paddle is very scenic.....floating down 9 1/2 miles of the Sante Fe river....spring fed and with dozens of springs along the way...Poe Springs, Blue, Rum Island, Ginny Springs, with mild rapids, and a relaxed "downhill" ride. Time on the water is about 5 1/2 hours with several breaks along the way.
Dinner suggestions?

MONDAY
We'll arrive early at the Ichetucknee State Park NORTH entrance
at 8:30 AM. (State Park Admission: $6 per vehicle)

Proceed to launch site past park entrance drive until you get to the dirt road loop on right - drop off boats - move cars to overflow parking area-paddlers doing the longer run with Nick will self shuttle-

Paddlers doing the shorter run with Anne-(we can buy the park shuttle service)
SHORT RUN-We will paddle (float leisurely) downstream to the take out. 3.5 Mile

For those of you interested Nick has volunteered to lead a LONGER run from the head of the spring to the takeout on the Sante Fe ending at William Guy Lemmon Park (U.S. Highway 129 bridge) total 10 Mile.
Indicate in comments if you will join Nick on the longer run.

Check-in time for campsites is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 1:00 p.m
If you plan to arrive after sunset, call the park before 5:00 p.m. local time for the gate combination.
