We will put in at the Hope Dam and paddle up to the Scituate Reservoir a 4 mile round trip. The water is very clean, coming directly from the reservoir, it is also very cold. This trip is suitable for all boats and levels of
experience.

Requirements to attend this paddle
- arrive 1/2 hour prior to posted launch time
- event start time is in your boat, in the water, and ready to paddle! You will need to transport your boat a few hundred feet, from the parking lot to the beach to launch.
- 10 foot kayak or longer (no inflatables or SUP's)
- light
- whistle
- a Coast Guard approved PFD (inflatable PFDs are not allowed)
- bilge pump
- appropriate clothing for the water temperature
Suggested
We strongly recommend that you bring along the following:
- drinking water
- sunscreen
- a change of dry clothes in a dry bag
- familiarize yourself with the area prior to paddling
- check weather conditions for wind speed direction and tides

All Paddlers bring a whistle and flashlight. No Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP's). Directions: From Interstate 95, take Exit 10B and Right at end of exit (exit 10 from north 95 and turn left). Head west on Route 117 for about 4.5 miles to Route 116 (Knotty Oak Rd). Go right onto Route 116 for 2.7 miles to Hope Furnace Rd. Turn left on Hope Furnace Rd and take dirt road behind electric sub-station on right. Note: Route 117 has 2 sharp S turns in West Warwick. be sure to follow signs for Route 117. If you exit from 95 North, follow Rt 117 for 4.7 miles.
