Sweetwater Symposium

It's that time of year again!

If you've never attended a kayaking symposium, plan on going. You can cram more learning, experience, and exposure into one long weekend than you'll get in a year of casual paddling here in South Florida. Courses are available for all levels of achievement.

COSTS - Maximum costs have been approximately $375, including two dinners and two lunches, classes and a nice shirt.

LODGING - Get your own. Orbitz/Kayak/other "address search" centered on 13060 Gandy Blvd., St Petersburg, Florida 33702. You can also camp at Fort Desoto County Park, but reserve early, sites fill fast.

RECOMMENDED COURSES - Please let us know in your RSVP that you'd like recommendations and we'll arrange a group "assessment paddle" with one of our local coaches to see where you are and where you'd like to go next.

OTHER - This event also offers a BCU Week prior to the Symposium Weekend for those who wish to earn a Coaching Level or train intensively for a Star Award.
