Hello! This is Bryce and Katie here; we love to spend time together with friends and neighbors with thoughtful and fun events. We also see how challenging it can be to get together, as reflected by Robert Putnam's book Bowling Alone or the recent Netflix documentary "Join or Die" about his work around tracking the decline of social capital across our communities.
This group is a bit of a event management experiment intended to support our private events with close friends, engaging gatherings of 6-8 people to explore interesting topics with friends and acquaintances (e.g. insightful movies, Jeffersonian Dinners, or board game nights), and larger neighborhood scale events in the Arvada Alta Vista area (e.g. Saturday backyard Coffee and Carbs). The goal is to hold thoughtful and fun gatherings that are welcoming for all.
