Imagine that each corner of this rhombic is supported by tree based guy systems. You need, of course, to have a rather large open space between these four trees (or fake it inside a forest, this is field day, after all).

This is a high gain antenna---but only on one axis. Given the amount of real estate it takes, that axis direction needs to be considered for expected coverage.
