Monthly meeting: Heartland Conservation Alliance presentation
Details
At last the Thomas Hart-Benton Group of the Sierra Club (the local Sierra Club group) is returning to MONTHLY MEETINGS! We know it took us awhile after COVID, but it is really happening!
Join us in the Legends Room at the Granfalloon on the Country Club Plaza on the fourth Tuesday (or Thursday) of each month, to get to meet like-minded folks and to hear about the great work being done in and around Kansas City.
SO, the first monthly meeting will be January 27 at the Granfalloon from 6:00 - 8:00. The speaker will be Rebecca Thacker from the Heartland Conservation Alliance. Come and hear how they are making a difference in the Blue River Corridor!
Parking is available in the nearby Time Building Parking Garage at 4739 Pennsylvania.
Kansas City’s Blue River is more than a waterway—it’s a lifeline. More residents call this watershed home than any other in the metro, and every creature, from blue herons and beavers to catfish and countless wildlife depend on its health to survive and thrive. Protecting the river protects all who call it home because, like wildlife, humans need nature too.
