The Kansas City Museum’s 12th Annual Día de los Muertos celebration will explore the history and cultural traditions of Mexico, including the following activities:

  • Live music by Mariachi Estrella KC.
  • Puppetry by Stone Lion Puppet Theatre.
  • Live dance performances by Grupo Folklorico Izcalli.
  • Feel free to bring something or a note to add to the indoor and outdoor community altars to remember someone in your heart who past away. It was touching to read the notes last year. Items placed at the altar will not be returned.

Advance Tickets Required, buy here *Pay What You Like means that a fee is required to attend this program, but the amount you pay is at your discretion.
Lawn chairs and blankets welcome

There will be food trucks on site for food and drinks but had long lines last year. I plan on grab some food beforehand and head to Electric Park Garden Bar around 8pm to chat & eat. There's a stunningly beautiful outdoor area with decently priced food truck.
