Basic Car Care and Maintenance @JCCC

Dreaming of van life or just hate being blackmailed by auto shops? Let’s learn the basics of car care and routine maintenance to get a little more fearless.

You’ll gain skills including:
How to check and change tires
Understanding treadwear and what it might indicate
Checking fluids and understanding fluid types, colors and smells
Checking and changing air filters, belts and bulbs. And other major vehicle safety checks.

Safety glasses are required to enter the automotive lab. Students are invited to bring their own or will wear a JCCC issued pair. No textbook required.
