What we’re about
KC Tech Social: Because Monday nights needed something better to do.
We're a group of tech people in Kansas City who get together every other Monday to drink beer, talk shop, and remember what human interaction feels like.
Who shows up?
Developers, sysadmins, NetSuite people, designers, product folks, startup founders, freelancers who haven't spoken to another human in weeks, and that one person who insists they're "not really technical" but definitely is.
What do we do?
Hang out. Talk about tech. Complain about tech. Celebrate tech wins. Share job leads. Make friends. Sometimes argue about tabs vs spaces (but like, in a fun way).
What we DON'T do:
Sales pitches. Recruiting spam. MLM schemes. Anything that makes this feel like work instead of hanging out.
The vibe:
Casual. Low pressure. Show up alone, leave with friends (or at least some good conversations and maybe a job lead). Laptops welcome but not required. All experience levels welcome - from "I just learned what an API is" to "I've been writing assembly since 1987."
Come hang out. Mondays are better with people.
