KCBRO Does Family Day @ Loose Park

Gentlemen, it has been ages, eons, even, but I return from a long trek across lands and oceans bearing new ideas for good times.

It is with great pleasure that I introduce the first-ever KCBRO Family Day, an outdoor get-together, an opportunity for dads of all kinds (bio, step, honorary, etc.) to bring their kids and SOs (if you’ve got ‘em) out for games and food at Loose Park. With a bit of luck, this will be a great opportunity for dads/parents and kids to build connections and camaraderie, and step out of the weekly grind.

I’ll bring some outdoor games, myself, and if you’re interested in bringing one or more of your own, please drop a notice in the Discussion section to let us know what you plan to bring.

We’re in pre-reservation season at the park, so we can’t reserve a shelter yet, but I’d advise folks to bring back-up lawn chairs in the event picnic tables, etc., are taken up.

UPDATE, as of 04/22: Folks, the weather is NOT looking suitable for 04/26, it's looking to be cloudy and chilly, not optimal outdoor weather . . . I've rescheduled a couple of weeks out (once again) to allow for more consistent good weather!
