Freedom in the World
For more than 50 years, Freedom House has tracked political rights and civil liberties around the globe through its annual Freedom in the World report. What does that research tell us about the state of freedom today, and where things may be headed in the future?

Join us for a conversation with Cathryn Grothe, Senior Research Analyst at Freedom House and co-author of Freedom in the World. She will be drawing on the report’s assessment of 208 countries and territories, and will explore trends shaping democracy and freedom around the world, from elections and political participation to freedom of expression, the rule of law, and individual rights.

The conversation will also look at how conflict, political instability, technology, and other forces are shaping these trends and what they mean for the future of freedom worldwide.
