KC M365 User Group - October 2026

We will be meeting remotely, so make something delicious for lunch and participate from home!

Coming up at the Kansas City Microsoft 365 User Group:

### Why Microsoft Copilot Governance Fails in Production

Organizations often approach Microsoft Copilot deployment as a technology project, only to discover that governance challenges quickly become the primary barrier to success. Inherited permissions, overshared content, inconsistent data management practices, and unclear ownership models can create risks that limit adoption and erode trust.

This session examines the most common governance failures encountered during enterprise Copilot implementations and explains why many organizations struggle to move from pilot programs to sustainable production usage. Attendees will learn practical strategies for addressing information access, content readiness, compliance requirements, operational oversight, and organizational accountability before problems emerge. The session combines governance principles with real-world implementation considerations to help organizations build a stronger foundation for AI adoption.
