Daryl Young is the Environmental Manager for the Kansas City Water Services Laboratory. With 12 years of experience in water, wastewater, stream & storm water monitoring, he has extensive expertise in water treatment, distribution, field testing, field collection practices and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Daryl has developed and implemented several standard operating procedures to streamline collection practices & sample processing for internal & external clients of KC Water Services. A former Plant Operator with KC Water Treatment, Daryl has spent the last 8 years providing tours to prospective operators, city officials & the general public, shedding light on the process of water treatment and highlighting an otherwise overlooked career path.
