Harvesters is committed to creating and sustaining a safe environment for its staff, volunteers, and visitors regarding necessary precautions surrounding COVID-19. That said, we rely on Jackson county's reported level of transmission when declaring times that those within our facilities must wear a mask to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Please be aware that this level of transmission is fluid; therefore, the masking policy at Harvesters will be as well.
The following are important things you need to know about volunteering in our warehouse:
To be prepared no matter what the level of community transmission, we encourage all volunteers and visitors to be prepared to wear a mask when coming to our facility to volunteer.
Closed-toe shoes and long pants (no shorts, skirts or dresses) are required.
Volunteers without close-toe shoes will not be able to serve in the Volunteer Engagement Center.
Harvesters no longer provides Crocs.
Dressing in layers and bringing a jacket is recommended, even during the summer.
Please leave all valuable jewelry at home. This includes rings which may come off in the packing process.
Parking is limited so please carpool. Visitor parking is available in front of the building and in an overflow lot across the street. If spots fill, please limit street parking to the east side (closest to the building). Please enter through the Volunteer Entrance (under the red awning).
*By participating in this event, you agree to abide by the Oasis Code of Conduct (http://www.kcoasis.org/about-oasis/code-of-conduct/).
