Time to head back to Prairie Fire for Wednesday happy hour at one of our favorite spots - Veritas Whiskey & Wine. Veritas is an American fusion restaurant and bar with an extensive drink menu, a chef driven eclectic American menu, 52 carefully curated wines by the glass and a unique whiskey selection.

If you didn't try their delicious food or partake in a entree last time, give it a try! They offer a variety of charcuterie, small plates, burgers, salads, paella, seafood, and great steaks. Several members recommend their tasty salads (eg. Grilled Chicken, Ahi Tuna or Blackened Steak Salad), and seafood dishes eg. coconut shrimp, blackened trout, or coconut shrimp. This is a joint event with our partner group, KC Single Professionals Meeting & Mixing.

Some members will come early at around 4:30 P.M. to enjoy more of their happy hour before it ends at 6 P.M., but just come when you can after work! Our Meetup ends at 7 P.M., but frequently members stay later to continue chatting. (It's not uncommon for our group to stick around until 8:00!)

Veritas is an upscale modern dining experience with a farmhouse feel that blends Napa style with the Kentucky Bourbon trail. They have a curated wine list and a of wide range of whiskeys. In addition, Veritas offers a variety of chef prepared fresh seafood small plates and entrees including: steaks, salads, burgers and more! Grab a drink and a bite while we are there to enjoy the full experience.
